Construction of Chosan Youth Power Station No. 2 Progresses Apace
Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The construction of Chosan Youth Power Station No. 2 in Jagang Province is progressing at a final phase.

Youth shock brigade members completed the project for driving the waterway tunnel extending hundreds of meters in a matter of three months, making a breakthrough towards increasing the speed of the construction.

Efforts were focused on the dam project to carry out a huge work for dam building and lay more than 20 000 square meters of feldspar ahead of schedule.

The builders of the generator room overfulfilled their daily quotas by learning from the indomitable spirit and work style of the soldier-builders in the construction site of the ski resort on Masik Pass. As a result, they removed at least 30 000 cubic meters of earth and finished the project of the structure.

A high speed was created at the construction sites of the drain and spillway, opening a prospect of winding up the project ahead of schedule.

A dynamic drive is now being made by the builders to assemble equipment, test them, establish an automatic control system and level the area around the power station in order to supply as early as possible electricity necessary for improving the standard of people's living and stepping up economic construction.
