The statement noted the Korean people could greet the happiest event in their history spanning 5,000 years as President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK.

The preparatory committee set the celebration period from August 15 to September 10 and decided to post famous works of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un on websites and hold diverse events including film show and meeting in that period.
