Respects Paid to Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Service personnel, youth, students and other people visited statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on the 68th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Seen before the statues of the Generalissimos on Mansu Hill was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Placed before them were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, institutions at all levels, enterprises, factories, farms and schools in Pyongyang as well as bouquets and flowers.

The visitors paid respects, looking up to the statues of the peerlessly great men. They looked back on the undying feats performed by Kim Il Sung, who led the great anti-Japanese war to victory and liberated the country, and by Kim Jong Il, who laid a solid groundwork for the prosperity of Juche Korea.

Floral baskets in the name of KPA units, institutions and enterprises were laid before the statues of the Generalissimos and their sunny portraits at Kim Il Sung Military University, Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Ministry of People's Security, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Mansudae Art Studio and other places in Pyongyang.

People in localities also visited statues and sunny portraits of the Generalissimos in their residential areas to pay respects.
