Russian Papers Observe War Victory Day of DPRK
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Russian newspapers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Zavtra No. 30 dedicated a whole page to articles including "Red bird of the victory", illustrated with photos of President Kim Il Sung and supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

The paper in an article titled "Kim Il Sung, victor" written by Alexandr Prokhanov, its editor-in-chief, said:

The Korean people won a victory in the fierce war six decades ago.

Kim Il Sung, leader of the DPRK, defeated the U.S. which was possessed of aircraft carriers, nuclear weapons and strategic bombers.

The red bird of the victory has flied the air of the DPRK for the past six decades since then.

The DPRK is a country proudly struggling against the U.S., monster.

Enemies try to stifle the social system of the DPRK but this country strong in independence continues to win victories.

The DPRK serves as a beacon of hope for the humankind.

The paper elaborated on the circumstances of the Fatherland Liberation War and how it was fought in an article titled "People's war" contributed by a Russian writer.

The July 26th issue of the Chelyabinsk Komsomolskaya Pravda carried an article introducing the March, 2013 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, illustrated with photos of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

A paper on July 24 carried an article titled "Korean Peninsula: Six decades in which war and peace alternated" disclosing that the U.S. imperialists provoked the Korean war by instigating the south Korean puppet forces and ceaselessly committed the new war provocation moves against the DPRK after the war.
