The contest brought together dozens of children from across the country. It was divided into individual, team and mixed doubles events.

The contest was featured by fast and correct reading of numbers and new playing tactics. It marked a good occasion in developing education of talents and training reserves with special skills.

Boy Sim Kwon Hyok of Sunam Kindergarten, Sunam District, Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province, and girl Ju Ye Rim of Ryuldong Primary School, Wonsan City, Kangwon Province, placed first in the individual events, boys from North Hamgyong Province and girls from Kangwon Province came first in team events and children of the Pyongyang Paduk Center in mixed doubles events.
