Friendly, Cultural Event Held

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- A friendly and cultural event took place at DPRK-Czech Friendship Pothonggang District Segori Senior Secondary School on Thursday on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Czech Republic and establishment of DPRK-Czech friendship school. It was sponsored by the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-Czech Friendship Association and the Czech embassy here.

Present there were Ryu Kyong Il, chairman of the DPRK-Czech Friendship Association, officials concerned, teachers and students of the school, Dusan Strauch, Czech ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Prior to the event, the attendants were briefed on the history of the school before looking round its educational facilities and Czech children's paintings.

The participants talked to one another about the need to boost the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and appreciated an art performance given by students.
