Russian Papers Observe Anniversary of Korean People's Victory in War
Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- Russian papers devoted special write-ups to the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Khakasia on July 10 carried an article titled "Korea yesterday and today" illustrated with a photo of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

The paper said:

The U.S. imperialists occupied south Korea after the liberation of Korea from Japan and made premeditated preparations for invading the DPRK. They finally ignited a war on June 25, 1950.

The Korean army and people under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung beat back the enemy troops superior in numerical strength and military technique and defended the sovereignty of the country by displaying matchless courage.

July 27 is marked as the day of great victory for the DPRK.

The President turned the DPRK into a power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence in a short span of time.

Kim Jong Un is steering the Korean people's struggle to carry out the behests of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Korean people will surely build a thriving socialist nation, sharing the same will and destiny with Kim Jong Un.

Nakhodkinski Rabochi on July 19 carried photos documenting the exploits of Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un and an article noting that the Korean people are wrapped in a festive mood to celebrate July 27.

Nizhegorodskaya Pravda and Bremya Peremon Plus TV on July 18 and 24 carried articles under the title "Korean people's victory" illustrated with photos of Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

The papers praised the immortal exploits of the Generalissimos.
