DPRK's Day of Victory in War Marked by Koreans in Kyrgyzstan
Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- The United Confederation of Koreans in Kyrgyzstan held an event at the Korean Centre on July 27, the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.

Pak Kyong Ho, chairman of the confederation, said in his speech that the Korean people's victory in the war was a victory of the outstanding military idea, strategy and tactics of the President and a victory of the single-minded unity of the service personnel and people around their party and leader.

He went on:

The U.S. imperialists who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world desperately tried to occupy the whole of Korea by hurling even troops from their satellite countries into the war. However, they couldn't break the will of the Korean people to devotedly defend the beloved country, remaining loyal to the leader.

As long as there are the invincible army and people led by Marshal Kim Jong Un, the DPRK will surely build a thriving nation by foiling the moves of the hostile forces to obstruct it.

The participants looked round photos showing the exploits the President performed by leading the war to the victory, the Songun leadership feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Un.

An art performance was given by Korean artistes and a dancing party took place that day.
