Korean Book, Photo, Handicraft Exhibitions Open Abroad
Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions opened in Komsomolsk-na-Amure City of Russia, Zlatitsa City of Bulgaria and Pampas City of Peru on July 24 and 26 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Present at the opening ceremonies were public figures and other people of those countries.

A vice-chairperson of the Komsomolsk-na-Amure City Assembly and other Russian figures said the exhibition offered an opportunity to know better about the developing DPRK and its fine cultural tradition.

They voiced their belief that the Russia-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation would grow stronger in the interests of both peoples.

The Zlatitsa mayor said it was the honor for the city to hold the exhibition on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the war. The mayor went on:

The DPRK, a land of morning calm, is widely known to the world for its beautiful natural landscape and independent politics.

Pyongyang is a city with everything kept neat and tidy and clad in verdure.

I wish the Korean people greater progress in all fabrics of social life.

The Pampas mayor said:

President Kim Il Sung was an outstanding military strategist and a great brilliant commander who crushed the U.S. imperialists and won in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Korean people are winning one victory one after another in the confrontation with the U.S.

I wish the DPRK great success in building a thriving nation under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
