Kim Il Sung's Exploits in War Praised by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Thailand and Myanmar dedicated special write-ups to the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The July 18 issue of the Thai paper Xing San Daily in its article illustrated with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung praised his exploits in war.

The paper lauded the President for liberating Korea by crushing the brigandish Japanese imperialists with his preeminent guerrilla tactics and war methods.

It went on:

The President humbled the arrogance of the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world in the 1950-1953 Korean war and defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country. The Korean people could win a brilliant victory in the war thanks to the outstanding strategy and tactics and original war methods of Kim Il Sung.

Kim Il Sung successfully led the fierce confrontation with the U.S. imperialists in the postwar period, turning the DPRK into an invulnerable socialist fortress. The immortal military exploits of the peerlessly great man will go down in the world history of anti-imperialist struggle.

The July 19 issue of the Myanmar paper The New Age carried an article accompanied with a photo of the President.

The victory won by the young DPRK in the confrontation with the U.S. and its allied forces was the miracle unprecedented in history, the article said, adding:

It was none other than Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, who worked such unprecedented miracle.

Kim Il Sung encouraged the service personnel and people to defend the country and led them to victory with his rare strategy, tactics and war methods and boundless love and trust.

The paper recalled that famous foreign figures highly praised him as a prominent master of politics and brilliant military strategist.
