Egyptian Folk, Art Exhibition Held
Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- An Egyptian folk and art exhibition was held at the Egyptian embassy here on Thursday to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Egypt and the 55th anniversary of the conclusion of the agreement on cultural cooperation.

Present there on invitation were Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Chae Chun Hui, vice-chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea, officials concerned, diplomatic envoys of various countries, representatives of international organizations, staff members of embassies and missions, Nguyen Thi Loi, chairwoman of the Pyongyang International Women's Association, and members of the association.

Present there were Iman Mostafa Abdou Ahmed, Egyptian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Speeches were made at the exhibition.

The speakers said that the friendly relations between the two countries provided and developed by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the Egyptian leaders are invariably growing stronger under the deep care of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They expressed their will to contribute to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the peoples of the two countries.

The participants looked round exhibits including craftworks and art works showing the history and culture of Egypt.
