The show opened on July 24 on the occasion the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Visiting the show were leading officials of the party, state and army, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, civic organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, peoples of all social strata and school youth and children.

Many overseas compatriots and foreign guests looked round the show, expressing deep admiration.

They included the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front and delegations of the overseas compatriots and diplomatic envoys of different countries, representatives of international bodies and members of the military attaches corps and the economic and commercial councilors corps here.

Present at the ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop and Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, officials of the armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, service personnel and those who presented flowers to the show.

Present there were the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan which took part in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and members of the society for disseminating and supporting the famous flowers.

Diplomat of excellent prize was awarded to 10 units including the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and diploma of special prize to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

40 units were awarded diplomas of ace prize and top prize, cultivators of different units who grew the flowers scientifically and technically the diploma of prize for technical cultivation and members of the society for disseminating and supporting famous flowers the diploma of prize of merit.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, made a closing address.
