All-people Candlelight Rally Held in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- An all-people candlelight rally took place in Seoul, south Korea on Saturday under the sponsorship of the Emergency Situation Council to Denounce the Intelligence Service's Interference in Presidential Election for Political Operation which consists of 200 plus civic and social organizations.

More than 25,000 people including members of civic and social organizations, university students, citizens and overseas Koreans took part in the rally.

Speakers at the rally said the last "presidential election" was illegal as it was affected by corrupt practices of the Intelligence Service.

Nevertheless, the ruling quarters disturb in every way the investigation into the IS's interference in the election now under way by the protests and demand of people of different social standings, they said, and went on:

Nam Jae Jun, director of the IS, refused to appear in the special committee of the "National Assembly" for the investigation, an action of disregarding the people.

Media have not reported the news of the people's movement for making public the declaration on the situation denouncing the illegality of the IS as well as the news of the revelation of video footage of the place where the IS conducted illegal cyber terror during the "presidential election".

The responsibilities for them rest with the "Saenuri Party" and the present chief executive.

The speakers strongly called for probing the truth behind the IS's politically-motivated operation through the investigation and detain all those related to the case. They demanded the reform of the IS and responsible steps by the present chief executive.
