Kim Jong Un Visits Cemetery of Fallen Fighters of CPV
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, Monday visited the Cemetery of fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music, a wreath in the name of Kim Jong Un and a wreath in the name of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea were laid before the cemetery.

Kim Jong Un together with senior officials of the party, state and army paid silent tribute to fallen fighters of the CPV.

Wreaths in the name of Kim Jong Un and the Central Military Commission of the WPK were laid before the grave of Mao Anying, son of Mao Zedong, the great leader of the Chinese people.

He went round the grave of Mao and the cemetery.

He said that he visited the cemetery as he remembered the fallen fighters of the CPV who helped at the cost of blood the Korean people in their just cause of defending the country, greeting the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Recollecting the feats performed by the brave soldiers of the CPV, he said mountains and fields of Korea are associated with their blood and noble souls.

The noble self-sacrificing spirit of the fallen fighters of the CPV who devoted their precious lives on the Korean front will always be remembered by the service personnel and people of the DPRK, he said, adding:

The cemetery of fallen fighters of the CPV bears witness to the history showing the militant friendship between the peoples of the DPRK and China as they fought together for the common cause and it is a symbol of the DPRK-China friendship.

Recollecting with deep emotion October 26, 2010, when he visited the cemetery accompanying leader Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un said that it is the common responsibility, strong sense of moral obligation and mission of the two parties and two peoples of the DPRK and China to convey the revolutionary spirit and undying feats of the martyrs of the CPV down through generations, true to the behests of Kim Jong Il.

Underscoring the need to preserve and manage well the cemetery in Hoechang County, spruce up all the cemeteries of fallen fighters of the CPV across the country and strengthen education through them, he took practical measures for doing so.

The Korean people should always remember the disinterested internationalist assistance sent by the Chinese party, government and people at a time when the Korean people were undergoing a trial and the blood shed by the fighters of the CPV and firmly carry forward the baton of the DPRK-China friendship, he stressed.

He was accompanied by Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Kyok Sik, Jang Jong Nam, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Won Hong, Kim Yang Gon, Choe Pu Il, Ri Yong Gil, Kim Kyong Ok, Kim Yong Chol, Pak Jong Chon, Pak Thae Song, Hwang Pyong So, Kim Pyong Ho and Kim Kye Gwan.
