Army-People Meeting with War Veterans Held
Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- An army-people meeting with war veterans took place before a mosaic depicting ever-victorious and iron-willed commander Kim Il Sung at the Jonsung Revolutionary Site on Sunday as part of celebrations of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Jong Nam, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, officials of armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, officers and men of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials and other people of institutions and enterprises and youth and students in Pyongyang together with war veteran delegates.

Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, in his congratulatory speech said the victory in the war was a shining victory of the might of ideology and strategy and tactics of the President, and a proud victory brought about by the strong mental power of the army and people of the DPRK.

All the men and officers of the KPA and the people should devotedly defend the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un in any adversity and uphold with loyalty the Songun leadership of the party and emerge honorable victors in the confrontation with the U.S. and in the building of a thriving socialist nation, he urged.

Kim Ki U, lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, speaking on behalf of the war veterans, called on the new generation to uphold the dear respected Kim Jong Un's Songun revolutionary leadership with loyalty and fight in the same spirit of defending the country as displayed in the 1950s and display the fireworks of final victory, fireworks of national reunification in the sky above Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea.

KPA Officer Sin Sung Il made a speech on behalf of the men and officers of the KPA to be followed by a speech by Kim Hak Min, workshop manager of the Chollima Steel Complex, on behalf of workers. Then taking the floor were Yun Chun Hwa, chairwoman of the management board of the Chongsan Co-op Farm of Kangso District, on behalf of the agricultural workers and Rim Il Kwang, student of Kim Il Sung University, on behalf of youth and students.

They pledged to cherish the soul of the heroic soldiers who fought risking their lives for the homeland and carry forward the history and tradition of the victory in the war which the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il brought about and thus win a victory in the confrontation with the U.S.
