The Ugandan president in the message extended heart-felt congratulations to Kim Jong Un on behalf of the Ugandan government and people and on his own behalf on the occasion of July 27, 2013, the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The DPRK thwarted the foreign armed intervention forces, a demonstration of the strong will of its people to defend the national sovereignty, dignity and independence, he said.

Uganda values the strong partnership with the DPRK, he added.

He reaffirmed that he would continue to make joint efforts with Kim Jong Un and the government of the DPRK to promote the well-being of the two peoples and further develop the precious bilateral cooperation.
