Kim Yong Nam Meets Chinese Delegation
Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, met the delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-president of the PRC, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Thursday when the delegation paid a courtesy call on him.

He had a friendly talk with the delegation.

Present there were Kim Song Nam, vice department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Lieutenant General of the Korean People's Army Ryom Chol Song, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Li Yuanchao said he was deeply moved by warm welcome of the Korean people.

Noting he was pleased that the delegation is attending the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Korean war upon the authorization of the Chinese party and government, he stressed that the Sino-DPRK relations are the ones sealed in blood.

When the DPRK faced grim ordeals on this land, the Chinese people fought shoulder to shoulder with the Korean people and won a victory, he said.

We can never allow the dark cloud of a war to hang in the sky above this land again, he stressed.

The Sino-DPRK friendship is a precious asset bequeathed by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries, he said, expressing belief that the friendly relations would steadily grow strong in the spirit of inheriting the tradition, facing up to the future, building good-neighborly friendship and boosting cooperation.
