Reception Given for Foreign Military Delegations, Military Attaches
Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of the People's Armed Forces on Thursday hosted a reception for the visiting military delegations of various countries and military attaches of foreign embassies here to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there on invitation were the Ugandan high-level military delegation, the Mongolian government military delegation, the Mozambican military delegation, the Vietnamese military delegation, the Iranian military delegation, the Tanzanian military delegation and the military attache corps here.

Jang Jong Nam, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kang Phyo Yong, vice-minister, and other generals and officers of the Korean People's Army were on hand.

Jang Jong Nam said in a speech at the reception that President Kim Il Sung wisely led the Korean army and people to victory, defeating the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces in the Fatherland Liberation War.

He recalled that the people of China, Russia and other people around the world people who loved justice and peace and opposed aggression rendered sincere support, material and moral, and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people.

July 27, the day of victory will always be in store for the DPRK invariably advancing along the road of independence, the road of Songun and the road of socialism by carrying forward the tradition of victory in the 1950s, single-mindedly united around Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, he stressed.

We will as ever make joint efforts to build a new independent world, peaceful and prosperous, in the idea of independence, friendship and peace together with the peace-loving countries which are friendly towards our country, he concluded.

Odongo Jeje, minister of state for the Ministry of Defense of Uganda who is heading the Ugandan high-level military delegation, said: The struggle of the heroic Korean people to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country serves as an example to us. I was deeply moved after witnessing the Korean people's struggle. Through the visit I saw the reality totally different from the one described by the Western media.
