Kim Jong Un Receives Letter from Participants in Grand International Peace March
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Marshal Kim Jong Un Wednesday received a letter from participants in the Grand International Peace March demanding the conclusion of a peace treaty between the DPRK and the U.S. and the withdrawal of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and supporting the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.

The letter said that the great victory won by the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War shattered the myth of the U.S. "mightiness" and recorded a proud page in the history of the struggle of the popular masses for independence. It taught the world the truth that no big power can conquer the people who have absolute trust and love for their leader and country, the letter noted, and continued:

Instead of drawing a lesson from the Korean War in the 1950s, the U.S. is persistently pursuing the hostile policy toward the DPRK and the moves to ignite a war against it still today when humankind have greeted the new century, though they are denounced by the international community.

The letter fully supported all measures taken by the DPRK for peace and security in the world and demanded the U.S. conclude a peace treaty with the DPRK and roll back its anachronistic policy toward the DPRK.

The letter expressed belief that peace and security on the Korean Peninsula would be firmly protected and the reunification of Korea be surely achieved as there are the banner of independence, the banner of Songun which Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il consistently held aloft all their lives and the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

We will conduct positive international solidarity activities to support the Korean people in their just cause for building a thriving nation, achieving national reunification and establishing a fair international order, concluded the letter.
