S. Korean Students Release Declaration on Situation
Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Students of over 460 middle and high schools across south Korea released a declaration of youth and students on the situation after holding a press conference in Seoul on Wednesday.

The declaration said the interference of the Intelligence Service (IS) in the election and police illegal acts of trying to cover it up were violation of democracy.

Those related to the crime deserve punishment, it stressed.

The chief executive of south Korea and the director of the IS should hold responsibilities, it urged.

It strongly demanded that the "government" and the "National Assembly" thoroughly investigate the crimes committed by the IS and police.

An opinion poll conducted among youth and students across south Korea from July 3 to 15 was made public at the press conference.

According to it, 93.6 percent of the respondents said the IS committed illegal acts to build up public opinion in favor of the candidate from the ruling party.

75.3 percent of the respondents said that the IS's act of opening to public the minutes of the north-south summit is aimed to cover up its crime and check the people's candlelight actions and release of declaration on the situation.
