Library in Pyongyang Medical College Opens
Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- A modern library sprang up in Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University.

General secretary Kim Jong Il gave precious instructions to serve as guidelines for the education of rising generation and scientific research and called for building a modern library at the college when he visited it in November, Juche 99 (2010).

He took measures to form a construction force and supply materials and equipment and clarified issues arising in hastening the construction.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un settled the issues arising in the construction and took all measures.

The officials and builders pushed forward the project, true to the behest of Kim Jong Il and intention of Kim Jong Un, and successfully completed the project as required by the new century.

The library provides the teachers and students with conditions and data base for breaking through the cutting edge in education, scientific research and preventive and curative medical care. It also helps the college change its appearance as a pedigree institution for training personnel in the nation's field of medial science and technology.

All facilities for acquiring ultra-modern science and technology are available in the library including e-reading, multi-media reading, tele-education and academic exchange rooms.

An opening ceremony of the library took place on Friday.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders, teachers and students of the college.
