Celebration Events Held Abroad
Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Colorful events took place in different countries to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

They included a meeting in Poland and film shows in Romania and Nigeria on July 9 and 12.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos of President Kim Il Sung, general secretary Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un in their revolutionary activities.

Also on display were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Participants in the film shows watched Korean films including "The U.S. Imperialist Aggressors Are Provokers of the Korean War", part 1 of "Fatherland Liberation War", and "Arms of Korea".

The chairman of the Tradition Association of the Polish People's Army said that strengthening of the DPRK's nuclear forces was a natural option in recognition of the nuclear threat from the U.S. and it is aimed to prevent a war and ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula.

It is the truth of history that deterrent equivalent to that of the enemy is essential for defending one's idea and option, he noted, adding the just struggle of the Korean people would surely win a victory.

The chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Poland said the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is common holiday of the peoples in the world.

The chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union said that the U.S. provoked a war against the young DPRK by mobilizing huge troops.

He went on:

The army and people of the DPRK could win a victory in three years of the bloody war with the U.S., totally thanks to Kim Il Sung's original military idea, strategies and tactics and war methods.

Six decades on, the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK still remains unchanged. The U.S. should rescind its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

We are convinced that the army and people of the DPRK would surely win a final victory in confrontation with the U.S. by inheriting the ever-victorious history and traditions under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
