He said that the Korean people won a brilliant victory in the three-year-long Fatherland Liberation War under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

He noted that the great victory won by the heroic Korean people is shedding its rays as an example in the struggle for accomplishing the cause of global independence.

The U.S. imperialists are making the whole gamut of desperate efforts to ignite another war on the Korean Peninsula, oblivious of a lesson from their disgraceful defeat, he said, and went on:

All the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in the confrontation with imperialism and the U.S. and in the building of socialist construction under the banner of Songun are instilling great strength and courage into the world progressives aspiring after independence.

The Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people will certainly build a thriving socialist nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
