Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Personages in Nepal and Myanmar made public statements on July 10 and 12 with the approach of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Manju Ratna Sakya, chairman of the Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, praised President Kim Il Sung as a peerlessly brilliant commander who beat back two imperialisms in one generation.

The President brought about a great victory startling the world with his outstanding strategy and tactics by dealing telling blows to the U.S. imperialists and their satellite forces, he noted, and went on:

The U.S. troops present in south Korea under the helmet of "UN Forces" should be withdrawn from the Korean Peninsula.

The Armistice Agreement ought to be replaced by a peace treaty to ensure the lasting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, and countries concerned should help the Korean nation reunify the country peacefully with its own efforts.

He urged the U.S. to retract all the unreasonable measures taken against the DPRK.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said he came to recollect once again the undying exploits and services rendered by the President on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Koreans' victory in the war.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un, a reliable successor to the cause of Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il, is wisely leading the party, army and people to building a thriving nation and achieving national reunification, the director said.

He extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation and reunify the country.
