Rodong Sinmun Slams Japanese Reactionaries for Rejecting Koreans in Japan
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Hundreds of Japanese took to the streets in different cities of Japan recently, chanting slogans "Oust Koreans from Japan!" and "Koreans are not needed in Japan!"

Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary in this regard:

This reminds one of samurais who were keen on hunting Koreans at the time of the great Kanto quake.

The horrible scene now presented in Japan is a clear reminder of the Japanese reactionaries' deep-seated hostility toward Korea and national chauvinism and, at the same time, a wanton violation of international law and human rights.

During the Japanese imperialists' rule over Korea many Koreans were walked off to Japan at the point of bayonet and were subject to slave labor and hurled to dangerous battle sites. Lots of them lost their lives. Descendants of the survivors are Koreans residing in Japan now.

Japan has moral and legal responsibility and obligation to protect the life of the Koreans in Japan. The International Convention on Human Rights provides that foreigners shall be invested with all equal rights.

It is very ill-bodying development that demonstrations against Koreans in Japan were waged in Japan at a time when Japanese politicians let loose a spate of rubbish embellishing the past crimes.

In a nutshell, it shows that Japanese society has reached a very dangerous phase in lurching to the right and if conditions are provided, the Japanese reactionaries can commit unimaginable crimes against the Korean people. Herein lie the gravity and danger of Japan's ever-mounting enmity toward Korea and national chauvinism.

The Japanese reactionaries are trying to give vent to their indignation at the Koreans in Japan, not pleased with the ever-growing international authority of the DPRK. But this will make it harder for Japan to shake off an ill fame as a political dwarf but harden the will of the Korean people to settle accounts with Japan.
