The chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association in his speech said over the past 52 years the two countries have always helped and supported each other in the spirit of the treaty. He went on:

In the new century the Sino-DPRK relations have made rapid progress and defended the common interests of the two countries. The Sino-DPRK friendship has grown stronger day by day, standing the test of history.

He expressed belief that the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship provided and cultivated by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries would steadily grow stronger thanks to the deep attention of the leaders of the new generation and the joint efforts of the two peoples.

Noting that the Korean people are building a thriving nation, rallied close around First Secretary Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea, he wished them fresh, big successes in their efforts.

The DPRK ambassador said the two governments and peoples have dynamically pushed ahead with socialist construction in the two countries, consolidating the friendly and cooperative relations in political, economic, military, cultural and various other fields on the basis of the treaty.

It is the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the consistent policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to boost the traditional DPRK-China friendship generation after generation, he noted.

He said that the dear respected Kim Jong Un is paying deep attention to steadily boosting the DPRK-China friendship, a precious common treasure of the two peoples, generation after generation.

This friendship will grow stronger under the deep care of Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping and in line with the desires of the two peoples no matter how the international situation may change, he stressed.
