Kim Il Sung Formulates Postwar Reconstruction Plan in Wartime
Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- Confident in victory in the 1950-1953 Fatherland Liberation War, President Kim Il Sung formulated a far-reaching plan for postwar reconstruction in wartime and pushed ahead with its preparations step by step.

A meeting of world architects was held in Warsaw, Poland in Juche 41 (1952).

The general plan for the postwar reconstruction, which was presented by DPRK architects, drew close attention from the participants in the meeting.

All of them were deeply moved by the speech of a Korean delegate on how the plan could be mapped out in wartime.

In reference to the plan, world's media reported that the DPRK composed a symphony for war victory, undergoing U.S. bombings, and rose up on the debris.

On the order of Kim Il Sung, all of students who volunteered to join the army to fight against the U.S. invaders were recalled to universities to go on with study.

Technicians returned from the front to study in foreign countries and a meeting of scientists was held and the State Academy of Sciences established in the wartime.

Such measures could be taken only by Kim Il Sung, who had firm conviction of victory in the war.
