Teachers' Union Flays IS for Its Interference in Election
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Teachers Trade Union held a press conference in Seoul on July 9 at which it issued a declaration on the situation denouncing the Intelligence Service (IS) for illegally interfering in the election.

The declaration condemned the IS for turning the clock back through the anachronistic interference in the election, the action to mislead public opinion and suppression of the progressive bodies.

It called for severely punishing those involved in the case.

Unless the "government" complies with the demand of the organization, it will organize a large-scale action of teachers to cope with the prevailing situation and carry on a joint campus struggle to achieve democracy across south Korea.

On the same day teachers at Chungang University, Pusan National University, and Kongju and Pugyong universities started a similar action.

In their declarations, they noted that the IS's interference in the election and its investigation into civilians are the serious political scandals, demanding the present chief executive apologize to the people.
