Central Areas of DPRK Hit by Downpour
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Downpour has swept through the central areas of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from Tuesday evening.

According to data available, 310 mm rainfall was registered in Yangdok County, 290 mm in Yodok County, 287 mm in Sukchon County, 273 mm in Kowon County, 266 mm in Munchon City, 260 mm in Tokchon City, 243 mm in Sinyang County, 242 mm in Hoechang County, 240 mm in Chonnae County, 236 mm respectively in Phyongsong City and Pukchang County, 231 mm in Maengsan County, 222 mm in Kumya and Songchon counties respectively, 218 mm in Samsok District, 216 mm in Anbyon County, 213 mm in Mundok County, 212 mm in Kaechon and Wonsan cities respectively, 204 mm in Popdong County and 200 mm in Nyongwon County, from 18:00 Tuesday to 06:00 Thursday.

Some 10 localities have seen more than 150 mm rainfalls, including Pyongyang City, Sungho County, Sunchon City, Pakchon County, Kujang County, Phyongwon County and Anju City.

On July 10-11, downpour has hit Sukchon, Pukchang, Kowon, Mundok, Yangdok and Maengsan counties, Munchon City and other areas.

The rainfall is likely to continue until July 16.
