Kim Il Sung, Peerlessly Great Man
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 19th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung, who was the pioneer of the revolutionary cause of Juche, founder of socialist Korea, gifted thinker-theoretician, prominent statesman, iron-willed commander and benevolent father of people.

Born on April 15, Juche 1 (1912), he devoted all his life to the freedom and wellbeing of people.

He founded the great Juche idea to let the working masses emerge masters of their own destinies and the times.

He declared an anti-Japanese war for the freedom and independence of Korea in his teens and defeated the Japanese imperialist aggressors in his thirties.

In the 1950s he led the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialist aggressors, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, to victory with his talented military idea, strategy and tactics and superb commanding art.

He founded the ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea and the invincible revolutionary army and established the genuine people's power.

He turned the Democratic People's Republic of Korea into the homeland of Juche idea, a powerful state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

He advanced such just and reasonable policies for Korea's reunification as the Three Principles of National Reunification, the Proposal for Founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the 10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation.

In his lifetime he traveled long journeys to visit big and small countries in Asia, Africa and Europe in order to smash the imperialists' aggression and domination moves and establish a new world order through close unity of the oppressed people the world over.

He met more than 70,000 personages of different social strata of 136 countries, including party, state and government leaders.

Not only the Korean people but also world people call him peerlessly great man in recognition of his enormous feats.
