Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings were held in Romania, Benin and Sweden from July 1 to 3 to commemorate the 19th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, introduced the short biography of the President. He said:

The President, who embarked upon the road of revolution in his early years, founded the great Juche idea and pushed forward the revolution and construction, guided by it, and thus built an independent socialist state.

It was thanks to him that the Korean people could bring about a turning point of national resurrection. They built an invincible power which no one dared provoke while bringing about world-startling miracles and innovations under his wise leadership.

The life of the President was, indeed, totally dedicated to the country and its people.

The undying feats he performed for carrying out the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence will be always remembered by the Korean people and progressive humankind.

Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, said:

The 20th century was really a century of the President.

The President, founder of socialist Korea, is being revered by progressive mankind as eternal sun of Juche.

The vice-president of the above-said Beninese party said the exploits the President performed by resolutely protecting the sovereignty of the country in the last Korean war recorded a prominent page in the history of his Songun revolutionary leadership.

The shining victory and proud successes achieved by the DPRK under his original Songun revolutionary leadership greatly encouraged the world progressives in their struggle for independence and socialism.

Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said the great exploits performed by the President will last forever along with the eternal prosperity of socialist Korea.
