U.S. Remains Unchanged in Bid for Nuclear War on Korean Peninsula: News Analyst
Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Sixty years has passed since the Korean War (June 1950-July 1953), but the Korean Peninsula is still exposed to a danger of nuclear war due to the U.S. persistent moves against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

After working out a secret nuclear war plan "8-53" in November 1953, the United States has made a series of amendments of it, posing a constant threat to the DPRK.

It mapped out "120-day war scenario", "OPLAN 5027" and "OPLAN 5027-98" in the latter half of the 1990s, "OPLAN 5030", "OPLAN 8022-02" in the 2000s and "OPLAN 5029", "Tailored Deterrence Strategy" and "Plan for Jointly Countering the Provocation of a Local War" in recent years. All of those plans were made for simultaneous nuclear attack at the DPRK on the ground and in the sea and air.

In accordance with the plans, the U.S. has carried on nuclear war exercises as an annual event, with "Team Spirit" U.S-s. Korea joint war drill starting in 1976.

This year's "Key Resolve" and "Foal Eagle" were the height of the joint military exercises against the DPRK.

Involved in them were nuclear carrier strike group, strategic bombers, Aegis destroyers, ground, naval and aerial strike means, along with huge U.S. and south Korean puppet forces.

The facts go to prove that the U.S. is scheming to unleash another war on the Korean Peninsula on all accounts.
