Japanese Politician's "Human Rights" Ballad Derided
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Japanese Ambassador for human rights and humanitarianism Ueda, addressing the recent session of the UN Commission against Torture in Geneva, said Japan is one of the most developed countries in the field of human rights only to provoke a big laughter in the meeting hall. Ueda got in a temper, turning red, asking what is funny.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

If Ueda had a normal thinking power, he would not have found fault with the participants in the meeting but reflected on how he behaved.

Japanese politicians are letting loose a spate of reckless remarks out of the twisted outlook on ethnics and history.

If the Japanese reactionaries respect dignity and right of human beings, they should stop reeling off "human rights" ballad in the UN.

Ridiculous is that Japan is kicking off "human rights" rackets against other countries in the UN and other international arena while not reflecting on its past heinous crimes against humanity.

It is preposterous for Japan to take issue with others over things which pose no problem while pushing under the carpet its own human rights abuses.

No country in the world is more shameless and morally vulgar than Japan. It is natural that Japanese reactionaries' demeanor invites international denunciation. They would be well advised to bear in mind that the more loudly they trumpet about "human rights" in international arena, the bigger shame they will meet.
