Dismantlement of "UN Forces Command" in S. Korea Demanded Abroad
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Political parties, organizations and personages of various countries released statements in succession supporting the DPRK's proposal for dismantling the "UN Forces Command" in south Korea at an early date and replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

The Peruvian Committee for Remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il noted the U.S. has not dismantled the "UN Forces Command" decades after the signing of the armistice agreement whose true intention is to justify its forces' permanent presence in south Korea.

The Socialist Party of Benin said for the U.S whether to keep the command or not is a matter of whether to have a tool for a war in the Asia-Pacific region, the biggest hotspot in the world, or not.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said the U.S. recently moves to revive the function of the "UN Forces Command". Lurking behind this is its strategic calculation to seize south Korea as an advanced base for dominating the Asia-Pacific region, it added.

The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association condemned the U.S. for its recent move to turn the "UN Forces Command" into the "multi-national coalition body" in line with its new defense strategy.

The Bangladeshi Group for the Study of Songun Politics said in a statement that the dismantlement of the "UN Forces Command" is an essential requirement for protecting peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region including the Korean Peninsula.

The president of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania said the U.S. should remove the "UN Forces Command" in south Korea without delay and unconditionally withdraw its aggression forces including nukes from south Korea.

The Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea strongly urged the U.S. to opt for a dialogue with the DPRK.
