Withdrawal of U.S. Troops from S. Korea Demanded by Romanian
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, issued a statement on June 25 on the occasion of June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

He said as follows:

The heroic Korean people displayed bravery and the spirit of self-sacrifice in the war against the imperialist allied forces, upholding the outstanding military strategic idea and leadership of President Kim Il Sung, and thus defended the country.

On July 27, 1953 the DPRK defeated the U.S. which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, bringing about the beginning of decline for the U.S. imperialists.

Far from drawing a lesson from the past shameful defeat, the U.S. has persistently pursued its policy of aggression and threats against the DPRK to again ignite a war.

If a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula, it will turn into a nuclear war, plunging mankind into a horrible nuclear holocaust. The U.S. should clearly know it.

The Korean people are no longer the people of a young country as in decades ago.

The DPRK is fully displaying its might as a power possessed of the update nuclear weapons and space technology under the wise leadership of the great leaders.

Mindful that the provocation against the DPRK will only move up the day of self-destruction, the U.S. should replace the Armistice Agreement with a durable peace treaty and immediately pull all its aggression troops out the Korean Peninsula.

The Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania wholeheartedly hopes that the Korean people will register signal successes in carrying out the new line laid down by the dear respected Kim Jong Un on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force and achieve the historic cause of national reunification as soon as possible.

The ever-victorious history of the Korean people will continue.
