In men's 62 kg category Kim Un Guk succeeded in lifting 145 kg in snatch and 170 kg in clean-and-jerk, winning first place in both events. He came top in total points, bagging three gold medals.

Om Yun Chol also bagged three gold medals in men's 56 kg category events, 126 kg in snatch and 160 kg in clean-and-jerk.

Ryang Chun Hwa, in women's 48 kg category events, took three gold medals by proving first in both snatch and clean-and-jerk in which she raised 80 kg and 110 kg respectively.
