DPRK's Proposal for Peace Treaty Supported by Bulgarian Organization
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association issued a statement on June 10 in support of the stand of the DPRK on replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

Since its conclusion the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) has been violated by the U.S. and south Korean authorities, notably the large-scale joint military exercises recently staged by them, the statement said, and went on:

The AA can not guarantee durable peace.

Accordingly, the U.S. should seriously approach the DPRK's proposal for creating peaceful circumstances, far from slandering it and causing an armed conflict.

The conclusion of a peace treaty will not fully guarantee peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula but help settle various problems for defusing the tensions in the region.

We fully support the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

The world wants peace, not war.
