The Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association said:

Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, in his New Year Address for 2013 clarified the principled stand on removing the confrontation between the north and the south of Korea, thoroughly implementing the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and pooling the efforts of the Korean nation to settle the reunification issue independently.

The past inter-Korean relations prove that the implementation of the joint declaration will lead to north-south reconciliation and unity and peaceful development but the denial of it will lead to distrust, confrontation and war.

The only way of achieving durable peace on the Korean Peninsula is to implement the joint declaration.

The Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand said that all the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad are longing for the June 15 era of reunification and are becoming increasingly assertive in calling for respecting and following through on the joint declaration.

Kim Jong Un is leading the struggle for development of inter-Korean relations and national reunification, it said, expressing expectation and belief that the Korean nation would reunify the country at an early date under the banner of the joint declaration.
