Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, and other speakers said that Kim Jong Il's start of work at the WPK Central Committee 49 years ago was a historic event of weighty significance in developing the WPK and the Korean revolution.

Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico, praised Kim Jong Il as the eternal general secretary of the WPK who strengthened it into the staff of the Korean revolution and the mother party taking good care of the destiny of the people with responsibility and the outstanding statesman who turned the DPRK into the political and ideological power and invincible military power.

Michael Chant, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), lauded Kim Jong Il's undying feats in party building, saying that they are being successfully carried forward by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
