DPRK's Proposal for High-Level Talks with U.S. Favored by German Expert
Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Dr. Christoph Rehman, an expert in international affairs of Germany, posted on website "Fair International News" an article supporting the DPRK's proposal for holding high-level talks between authorities of the DPRK and the U.S.

The author said:

The spokesman for the National Defence Commission of the DPRK issued a crucial statement to propose high-level talks with the U.S.

The crucial statement elicited the policies of the U.S. which should be certainly overcome for lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. administration is claiming that in order to defuse tensions on the Korean Peninsula the DPRK should show its will for denuclearization first and stop "provocation" and "threat".

It is none other than the U.S. which has aggravated the tensions on the peninsula while resorting to the moves for stifling the DPRK with ceaseless nuclear threat and sanctions.

The DPRK openly and clearly expressed its stand that it wants talks with the U.S., real talks to achieve peace and security in the region including the U.S. mainland.

The Korean Peninsula is now in frozen state. Many years have passed since the end of the Cold War but the Korean people in the north and the south are still suffering from the Cold War.

It is not certain whether the U.S. will positively approach the DPRK's broad proposal for holding the high-level talks for real peace.
