DPRK Divers Aim to Take World's Titles

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK divers Kim Jin Ok and Choe Un Gyong won gold medals in the women's pair 10 meter platform diving and bronze medals in the women's pair 3 meter springboard diving at the 2013 Grand Prix Diving Game (stage 6) sponsored by the International Federation of Swimming, held in Russia some days ago.

In this regard, KCNA met Kim Jin Ok and her coach Jong Hye Sun.

Kim said:

"I was very happy to delight respected Marshal Kim Jong Un with the good results in the game. I'll train harder to display the honor of the country in coming games."

Jong said:

"The game brought together divers from China, Russia, Ukraine, Britain and other countries.

With firm confidence in winning the game, our players successfully performed movements of high technique though they lacked experiences in international games.

We will redouble our efforts to take the titles in the World Swimming Championship."

The DPRK scored good results in the diving events at the 1st Military World Games and the 4th East Asian Games.
