Kim Jong Il's Feats Praised by Newspapers of Bangladesh, Cambodia
Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Bangladeshi and Cambodian newspapers carried special write-ups to mark the 49th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The Bangladeshi paper Industry on June 9 in an article titled "Kim Jong Il's feats in developing WPK" said as follows:

He turned the WPK into an integral whole in terms of ideology and a party which realized close unity and cohesion.

He led the WPK to develop with the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as only guidelines.

He steadily developed and enriched the Juche idea as required by the times and the developing revolution.

He made the WPK a genuine mother party serving the people.

The Bangladeshi paper Natun Bangla on the same day carried an article titled "Single-minded unity of Korea and Kim Jong Il" which referred in detail to the fact that he strengthened the single-minded unity of society of the DPRK as firm as a rock.

The Cambodian paper Khmer Women on June 8 ran an article titled "Eternal general secretary of WPK" which said:

Though he passed away, the WPK holds him in high esteem as its eternal general secretary.

His idea and line are the guidelines of the WPK.

The theory of Songun politics formulated by him serves as the invincible banner which helps protect the sovereignty of the country and the nation and preserve the independence of the popular masses under the situation where the imperialists' policy of strength has become ever more undisguised.
