They said that the event marking the anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration helps recollect the spirit of the joint declaration.

They called on all people to take an active part in the actions for implementing the joint declaration, bearing it deep in mind.

They underscored the need to put an end to sufferings resulting from national division and hand down the peaceful and reunified country to posterity as early as possible.

On the same day the Ansan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a "walking for unification."

Noting that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the conclusion of the Armistice Agreement, the participants called on the people to become vocal demanding the defusing of the danger of war growing on the Korean Peninsula and conclusion of a peace treaty.
