The statement noted as follows:

Kim Jong Il's start of work at the C.C., WPK on June 19, 1964 was a historic event of great significance in strengthening the WPK and accomplishing the world socialist cause.

He developed in depth the Juche idea and the cause of President Kim Il Sung and provided the firm base for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche through decades of outstanding ideological and theoretical activities and Songun leadership.

He authored "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung", "The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party", "Socialism Is a Science" and other classic works and thus maintained the revolutionary nature of the WPK and defended the destiny of socialism.

He victoriously advanced the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence with his unique Songun politics.

The WPK will continue to develop into a guiding force leading the revolution and construction to victory as it is led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK who is successfully carrying forward President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's cause of Juche and Songun.
