Heinrich Gruber, coordinator of the Vienna, 21 County Committee of the Communist Party of Austria, was elected chairman of the Austrian preparatory committee and Ibrahim Mantu, chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association who is a member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria, chairman of the Nigerian preparatory committee.

The Austrian preparatory committee decided to extend active solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle against imperialism and the U.S. and organize colorful political and cultural events on the occasion of July 27.

The Nigerian national preparatory committee underlined the need to praise President Kim Il Sung's exploits in the war and introduce the Korean people in their efforts to carry out the Workers' Party of Korea's new line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

It decided to organize solidarity events demanding the dismantlement of the "UN Forces Command".
