Parquetry "World Map", Gift to Kim Jong Il

| Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Among the exhibits at the International Friendship Exhibition House in the DPRK is a parquetry "World Map", a gift presented to leader Kim Jong Il by the center and group for the study of the Juche idea of Comrade Kim Il Sung in Guyana on October 10, Juche 69 (1980). Out of profound reverence for Kim Jong Il, members of the center and the group made a decision to prepare a parquetry "World Map" as a gift to him on the occasion of the Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 35th WPK anniversary. The framed parquetry portrays the world map with the Korean Peninsula in its center and the Island of Guyana painted in dark brown color to be distinctive from other countries. A flag with letters "Juche" is contained in the map. |
