Punishment of Chun Doo Hwan Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Kyunghyang Daily News on June 4 carried an article calling for instituting a law on punishing unprecedented murderer Chun Doo Hwan who accumulated illegal funds.

The article said there is cropping up again the issue of collecting additional imposition from military dictator Chun Doo Hwan following the disclosure of the fact that his first son operated a bogus company for six years after establishing it abroad.

The move of instituting legal and institutional mechanism for legitimatizing the collection of additional imposition has become more pronounced, it noted.

This will help prevent the former and incumbent highest-level government employees from accumulating wealth in an illegal way, by evading additional imposition and Chun Doo Hwan can also be made to pay additional imposition.

The "Saenuri Party" should punish Chun and his family for engaging themselves in irregularities and corruption, the article said, warning it will be branded as the descendants of the "Fifth Republic" if it refuses to punish them.

To institute the law on collecting additional imposition from Chun brooks no further delay, it added.
