Uruguayan Newspaper Hails DPRK's New Strategic Line
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The May 24 issue of the Uruguayan newspaper La Juventud carried an article titled "DPRK and its new strategic line" illustrated with a photo of the dear respected Kim Jong Un addressing the March, 2013 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The article noted that the line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force was laid down at the plenary meeting.

It went on:

The new strategic line is the most realistic one suited to the specific conditions of the DPRK which aims at building a thriving socialist nation.

The Korean people have faced a lot of difficulties and bottlenecks in economic construction for decades.

It was because the DPRK has diverted huge human and material resources which should be used for the economic development and improvement of the people's living to the purpose of bolstering the nation's defense capability due to the persistent sanctions and pressure and aggressive moves of the hostile forces including the U.S.

Now that the DPRK has powerful nuclear deterrent for self-defence, its people have become able to step up the building of an economic power under more stable conditions.

Gone are the days never to return when the U.S. could threaten the DPRK with nukes and obstruct its economic construction.

The new strategic line of the DPRK helps bolster the country's military power with less spending and make a big investment in the building of an economic power.
