S. Korean Authorities Accused of Their Moves to Stamp Out Pro-reunification Forces
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Seoul High Court of south Korea recently sentenced Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, to four years in prison for the mere reason that he visited Pyongyang to express condolences over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. The court also passed a prison term on its Secretary General Won Jin Uk for helping Ro visit Pyongyang though Won is seriously ill.

Minju Joson Thursday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This was an outrageous fascist action to chill the daily growing desire of the people for reunification and stamp out the pro-reunification movement forces in south Korea.

Both Ro and Won can by no means be targets of suppression, the commentary says, and goes on:

The puppet forces are working with blood-shot eyes to eliminate pro-reunification movement organizations by labeling them "criminal organizations" and "organizations benefiting the enemy." The fascist suppression is a product of such scenario.

What is more intolerable is that they took such repressive actions against the pro-reunification patriots in the run-up to the 13th anniversary of the historic June 15 joint declaration.

The south Korean ruling forces are following in the footsteps of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors, hordes of wicked anti-reunification elements.

They had better draw a proper lesson from the miserable end of the Lee Myung Bak regime and roll back at once their confrontation policy which pushed the inter-Korean relations to catastrophe and set free Ro Su Hui and other pro-reunification patriots.
