Minju Joson Flays U.S. for Turning Space into Battlefield
Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- It was recently reported that the U.S. Department of Defense began to make a comprehensive research into the "protection" of military and spy satellites. To this end, all the U.S. experts on space development and projects for that purpose reportedly came under the Pentagon for the first time in its history.

Minju Joson on Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This indicates that Washington is working hard to realize the space militarization at a higher level and attain a military edge in outer space.

The U.S. is talkative about "the protection of satellites" within the framework of the national security system, but this is no more than a pretext for justifying its moves for the space militarization and its ambition for world domination.

Those satellites which the U.S. is keen to "protect" are nothing but means for carrying out its policy of aggression and military intervention in other countries.

It is the U.S. strategic scenario to have a military monopoly of the space and carry out its strategy for dominating the world at any cost on its basis.

What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. strategy for space militarization does not merely aim at "protection" and "defense".

The U.S. made the conversion of the space into a huge theatre of military confrontation an established fact, while stepping up the preparations for military operations there.

The above-said moves of the U.S. should be taken as grave crimes as they are a dangerous scenario to spark off an arms race even in the space.

The U.S. would be well advised to drop the above-said scenario at once.
